Muhammad As part of efforts to improve the quality of education delivery in Sokoto, the state government, in partnership with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), has trained 2,718 teachers and 145 education managers. Alhaji Tukur Alkali, Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, disclosed this at a press briefing on Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto’s achievements in his one year in office. Speaking at a press briefing on Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto’s one year in office, he said in collaboration with UNICEF, they built two child-friendly centres for Almajiri Qur’anic teaching and skill training.
