Sokoto’s efforts to enhance rural facilities will  have a direct positive impact on farmers and local communities, given the state’s agrarian nature, Nassarawa Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule has said.

He made this observation on Wednesday during the commissioning of the Garin Magaji–Gittarana road and the Silame Bridge in the Silame Local Government Area.

Engr. Sule also pointed out that the projects align with the President’s call for state governors to ensure a beneficial impact on the lives of their citizens.

In his address, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu stated that the road and bridge would significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of the surrounding communities and enhance connectivity across the state.

He emphasised that the initiatives would alleviate traffic congestion, reduce travel time, improve safety, and promote commercial activities in the area and beyond.

Governor Aliyu described the successful completion of the projects as a testament to his administration’s commitment to meaningful development projects and urged the benefiting communities to safeguard these initiatives.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to investing in rural infrastructure to enhance community access, strengthen connections, and accelerate socio-economic advancement throughout the state.
