Five thousand women in Sokoto State have received Ramadan support packages, a generous gesture from Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the wife of the Sokoto State Governor.
She shared that the food items are meant to bring comfort and ease to those observing the Ramadan fast, helping them focus on the spirit of the season.
“I want to assure you that this administration will continue to prioritise the welfare of our women and children through various interventions and support,” she asserted.
The governor’s wife highlighted that since the administration’s inception, supporting vulnerable groups, including women, with food and cash assistance has remained a top priority.

She called on women throughout the state to keep championing the administration’s mission to uplift living standards for everyone.
Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Shagari, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs, praised the Governor’s wife for her unwavering dedication, highlighting how her efforts have truly uplifted and comforted those who benefit from her gestures.
Also speaking, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, highlighted the state government’s dedicated work to improve the well-being of its citizens.
She revealed that her ministry has touched the lives of countless vulnerable groups, bringing hope and support to communities throughout the state.
