Determined to gauge the implementation of development projects at the grassroots, Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has unveiled plans to embark on a comprehensive tour of all 23 Local Government Areas.
He described the visit as essential to truly understand both the reach and quality of the developmental projects underway in the LGAs.
The Governor shared this during an inspection of the Women and Children Welfare Clinic under construction by the Goronyo Local Government Council.
He praised the high standard of work and instructed the State Ministry of Health to thoroughly inspect the project and recommend the crucial steps needed to ensure its goals are fully realised.
Dr Aliyu urged other local government chairmen to redouble their efforts to bring accessible healthcare to their communities.
Chairman Zubairu Yari Goronyo revealed that the council was building three Women and Children Welfare Clinics in Goronyo, Takakume, and Boyekai.
He explained that the initiative strives to deliver essential healthcare right to the doorsteps of those who need it most.
According to him, the Goronyo clinic, the largest among them, proudly bears the name of the governor’s wife, Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu.
The chairman expressed heartfelt gratitude to the governor for his unwavering support of the local government.
