The Catholic Diocese of Sokoto has donated wheelchairs to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto.
Bishop of the Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah consistently advocates for uplifting the poor, sick, and marginalized in society.
Chief Medical Director Prof. Anas Ahmad Sabir welcomed the bishop and team, expressing gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
Prof.Sabir described Bishop Kukah’s contribution as a beacon of solidarity and compassion.
He recalled that UDUTH benefited in the past from the generosity of prominent Nigerians and organizations, including Gen. TY Danjuma, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and several NGOs.
The CMD also revealed the hospital’s efforts in various areas of healthcare delivery including renal transplant, open-heart surgery, and advanced procedures, positioning UDUTH as a leading medical institution in Nigeria.
The bishop was accompanied by a delegation comprising Revd. Fr Jude Okpanci, Dean of Sokoto Diocese; Sr. Ann, OP, Director of Holy Family Mother and Child Hospital; Revd. Fr. Matthew Megwa, Vice Chancellor of the Diocese; Mr. William Dalogate, Director of JDPC Sokoto Diocese; and staff from JDPC.
