With just two months to go until the Lindau Laureate Interdisciplinary Anniversary Meeting, nearly 75 Nobel Laureates have pledged to attend a gathering that weaves together scientific breakthroughs with their far-reaching societal and political impacts.
Determined to gauge the implementation of development projects at the grassroots, Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has unveiled plans to embark on a comprehensive tour of all 23 Local Government Areas.
Nigerian Investigative journalist, Tunde Omolehin has been selected as one of the finalists in the senior journalist category for the The Stringer Awards 2026, a prestigious recognition honoring journalists working under difficult and often dangerous conditions.

Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, Chief Press Secretary, in a statement, disclosed that the payment would commence on Monday, June 2.
Sokoto State government has approved measures in various areas to address the housing shortfall, increase food production, enhance public safety, and safeguard key assets.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Sokoto State Council made the call in a statement signed by its Chair, Usman Mohammed Binji, and Secretary, Muhammad Nasir Bello.
The projects have funding from the European Union (EU), the Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).
