In light of the numerous challenges facing the nation, the Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Saad Abubakar, has encouraged Nigerians to maintain their hope in overcoming these issues and in making Nigeria a far better place to live than anywhere else in the world.
“We will never lose hope because to lose hope is to have lost everything,” he assserted, emphasizing the unwavering strength that hope provides in the face of adversity.
“We are full of hope, and we don’t wish anybody to think we have lost hope.”
He encouraged Nigerians to double their efforts in praying for God’s intervention in all their affairs, reminding them of the empowering belief that ‘whoever takes cry to Allah SWT will never be a loser.’
The Sultan, who was speaking during the ongoing commissioning of projects executed by the Sokoto State Government, stressed the need for Nigerians to always pray for their leaders.
The Sultan underscored the importance of unity through prayer. He urged Nigerians to always pray for their leaders, from the President to the local government chairmen, as he believes that prayers are what keep the nation together.
The Sultan, with a tone of reassurance, declared, “We will succeed, Insha Allah.” He acknowledged the challenges facing the nation, from insecurity to other issues, as tests from Almighty Allah. He urged Nigerians to see these challenges as opportunities to prove their resilience and faith.
The royal father emphasised: “It’s left for us to rise and take all our affairs to the Almighty Allah, and pray to Him to guide us a right to overcome these challenges and Insha Allah Nigeria will be a much better place to live than anywhere else in the world.”
He exhorted political leaders to strive for excellence in their service to the people and communities.
