The All-Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Sokoto, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has applauded Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s initiatives to move the state forward, urging him to keep up the excellent work.
Senator Wamakko spoke at a large gathering of APC supporters in his Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto following the Supreme Court ruling that upheld Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto’s election as the state’s duly elected governor.
“You have, within just 100 days in the office, achieved so much in many areas of development. The way you provided road networks and water projects, renovated some schools, improved the health care system, as well as touched the lives of the masses, especially the physically challenged, was incredible,” he pointed out.
“Mr. Governor, please sustain the tempo and don’t relent.”
He urged the people to continue to back him in his efforts to provide the necessary dividends of democracy.
Sokoto State APC Chair Isah Sadiq Achida applauded the enormous turnout of the party’s supporters at the reception as evidence that the people of Sokoto State support the APC and assured them of more democratic dividends.
He thanked Allah for successfully leading the party, noting they were victorious in the election the PDP contested in court. “Ultimately, we emerged triumphant, and we attribute this success to God.”
He expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for APC emerging triumphant, adding that they won the election, but PDP challenged them in court.
“At the end, we came out victorious; hence, we give glory to God.”
