Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto has applauded the working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government, noting that their synergy has enabled meaningful projects across the state.
He also commended the state judiciary for maintaining the integrity of the judicial system with fairness and dedication, noting with pride that his administration has not received a single complaint or petition against any judicial officer.
The governor made these remarks while welcoming members of the judiciary and legislature during a festive Sallah visit to the Government House in Sokoto.
“I am very proud of the way and manner our judges and Khadis are administering justice in the state,” he remarked.
He emphasised that this demonstrates the remarkable professionalism, integrity, and impartiality that define the administration of justice in the state.
Governor Aliyu further pledged support to the judiciary, ensuring it can fulfil its constitutional duties with excellence.
Chief Judge of the state, Saidu Muhammad Sifawa, commended the governor for giving due attention to the judiciary.
He pointed to the ongoing construction of courtrooms at the State High Court, and the additional court complex underway as clear signs of the administration’s dedication to fortifying the judicial system.
Justice Sifawa also celebrated Governor Aliyu’s remarkable progress in driving development throughout the state during his two years in office.
The Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Tukur Bala Bodinga, also commended Governor Aliyu for the remarkable transformation seen across the state in just two years, pledging the legislature’s ongoing support.
He added that lawmakers remain committed to passing laws that uplift citizens’ lives, no matter where they reside in the state.
