Engineer Oluremi Abass Oseni, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, has delivered a brand-new transformer to Awonsoso community, fulfilling one of the promises he made during his campaign visit.
Oseni, who had visited several communities, including Powerline, Awonsoso, Siba, Olupoyi, Balogun, Baba Agba and Agaloke, under the PASOBBA axis, pledged to address some of the pressing infrastructural challenges confronting the communities.
Among the promises, according to community sources, was the rehabilitation of the road linking Olupoyi to Baba Agba through filling and grading, a project which has since been undertaken.
The latest intervention was the delivery of a brand-new electricity transformer to Awonsoso, a development residents have warmly received as a significant step toward addressing the community’s electricity challenges.
Expressing his appreciation, the Baale of Awonsoso, Pa Muibi Adegoke, commended Oseni for demonstrating commitment to the people’s welfare through tangible interventions rather than mere campaign rhetoric.
The traditional leader also acknowledged the contributions of the senatorial candidate’s Director-General of Campaign Organisation, Barrister Tirimisiyu Lowo Obisesan, an indigene of Awonsoso, for helping facilitate the intervention.
Pa Adegoke said words alone could not adequately convey the community’s appreciation, assuring Oseni that the people of Awonsoso would reciprocate the gesture by keeping their promise of supporting his senatorial ambition at the polls.
He described the transformer delivery as a demonstration of responsiveness to the community’s needs, expressing optimism that the intervention would improve electricity supply and enhance residents’ quality of life.
